In 1996, Arctic Catering Services (AC&SS) and Kuukpik Native Corporation created a joint venture, KAC/Kuukpik Arctic Catering, LLC, to provide exceptional remote camp services, employment opportunities for Kuukpik shareholders, and to return profits from operations to both companies.
For more than 35 years, AC&SS has been raising the bar at work sites – from catering and logistics to planning and management – delivering consistently exceptional results to satisfied customers.
AC&SS is committed to providing employment and advancement opportunity for our employees and joint venture partners, while providing quality services that exceed our clients’ expectations in safety, performance and environmental preservation.
In addition to base camp support, AC&SS has the most experience servicing remote camps with precision logistics. The company is noted for having the competencies to preform mobilization and shutdowns with efficiencies and ease of handling large scale projects for various clients such as Exxon, Shell, BP, ConocoPhillips, Nabors, and Repsol in an efficient and effective fashion.
What sets AC&SS apart from the field?
A REPUTATION FOR
THE FLEXIBILITY TO PROVIDE SERVICES TO CAMPS OF ALL SIZES ACROSS THE U.S.
A DEDICATION TO HEALTH, SAFETY AND THE ENVIRONMENT.
AC&SS is committed to the ongoing development and implementation of health, safety and environmental (HSE) protection systems. For our clients, this means they know our employees and those living at the camp will be working in a safe, secure and healthy environment.
AC&SS’s management developed procedures ensure open lines of communication throughout the company. We routinely provide safety in motion training sessions, facility assessments and daily toolbox meetings. Our HSE employee training programs are second to none in the industry. AC&SS follows Green Star standards and is ISO 14001 compliant.
Employees and managers recognize and accept the dual right and obligation to take responsibility for our own health and safety, as well as the health and safety of those around them. All AC&SS job descriptions contain a health and safety component, which is assessed in a yearly performance review.
The company actively fosters a “zero incident culture.” AC&SS requires the reporting of all incidents and the subsequent investigation of all incidents that result in injury to individuals or damage to facilities and/or equipment. The organization also requires the recording and investigation of all “near loss” incidents.
