What position are available:

Typically the most common position vacancies that occur are Housekeepers and Bull Cooks. Camp Manager and Head Cook and Second Cook positions are typically promoted from within Arctic Catering, Inc. but do occasionally do open up outside of the internal recruiting process. Arctic Catering, Inc. also recruits for Security Guards, Maintenance Technicians and Water/Wastewater technicians.

What is starting pay?

The starting pay depends upon the contract provisions between Arctic Catering, Inc. and the Client, the camp location, and the experience of the applicant.

Can I just submit a resume and fill out application with only name and sign?

If you would like to be considered for employment with Arctic Catering, Inc. it is recommended that you complete the application in full and submit your signed application with your resume to be considered for employment. It is recommended that you put all relevant experience or training on your application and do not assume that we know your qualifications. Applicants applying for kitchen positions in Alaska must have an Alaska Food Workers Card which can be obtained on line at http://www.dec.state.ak.us/eh/fss/training/training.html. When can I have an interview?

Once an application is received, it is scanned into our applicant system for access by Human Resources and Camp Managers based on the position(s) applying for, as well as applicant location. The application is considered active for 90 days. Applications are screened to determine relevant work experience, remote camp experience, and relevant training. Should there be an interest in your qualifications, you will be contacted by Human Resources or the Camp Manager for further screening or to set up an interview. Applicants whom are not considered for an interview within 90 days will become inactive and are encouraged to reapply to be considered for future openings. We apologize, but due to the large volume of applications received each week, we are unable to return all applicant inquires.

What can I expect if I’m selected for employment?

Post offer, applicants are subject to a background check, drug and alcohol screening and physical capacity exam. All North Slope positions will require NSTC training paid for by Arctic Catering, Inc. Additionally, Arctic Gear may be required depending on the camp location and will be available for purchase at a discounted rate through one of our approved vendors through a payroll deduction. All employees are subject to random drug and alcohol testing and to client badging requirements.
